about

No one knew his real name. They called him more-dick-eye. He and a gang of four men rode out of Medicine Hat Canada one particularly cold February afternoon. Neighbors said they could hear shots for miles. A white van with cash leaking out the back was speeding down the freeway. Bullet holes dusted the side panels. Sirens blared. Once the driver was killed, it was easy for the cops to pick off the rest of them. One by one, bodies fell like apples in the autumn. More-dick-eye found refuge in the South Sess catch you won river. He was never seen again.

The Marble Castle they called it. Biggest bank in Saskatoon. Home to millions in cash and bonds. A crew of four men would hit it next Friday the 23rd. In order to pull the score with just four men, they needed a man on the inside. Security Officer Randy “Axis” Murphy, could be bought for a nickel. He gave them the ins and the outs. A plan was born.

Axis was offered a nickel, but he wanted a dime. He took his valuable information to Chief Seamus O’Donnell of the SPD. In exchange for his information he would be given a lofty reward. The raid would occur in two days.

Two vans exited the freeway at oh seven thirty two hours. The brown van stopped a block away. The white pulled behind the bank. Ezekiel flipped the switch on his homemade electromagnetic pulse device. The whole block went dark. Ezra and Obadiah took their guns and stormed the front door. Screams rang out. More-dick-eye and Ezekiel broke down the back door and placed a thermite charge on the face of the vault. oh seven thirty four hours. They split the dough in half. One bag in the brown van, the other in the white. They then proceeded to fuck off.

In and out. Four minutes. It was too easy. No cops. No struggle. The streets were clear. Something got in More-dick-eye’s head. He didn’t like the silence. Over the horizon, Seamus and his troops emerged. They pointed their guns and turned on their sirens. A chase ensued.

(instrumental break)

Bullets broke through the brown van’s tires. They lost control when a bullet burrowed into Obadiah’s forehead. The van crashed into a quizno’s. Ezekiel’s neck was broken. Half the money was gone.

With the cops swarmed around the brown van, More-dick-eye and Ezra made their escape into the sewers. One point eight million dollars in cash on their backs. They walked for hours. Ezra found a manhole to escape from. Just as he started to climb, a bullet broke his skull. Smoke came out of the barrel of More-dick-eye’s gun. He left the sewers and ran.

After what seemed like an eternity, more-dick-eye rested on a nearby bench. He placed his duffel on the seat next to him. His eyes closed and he thought of Medicine Hat. Sirens rang in the distance.
